Downstairs they found a large pile of plate metal, which they found to be horse barding, underneath they also found a saddle for a light warhorse along with saddlebags filled with gemstones and coins.
In another room they found the walls to be marked with letters of an unknown language along with a large stone door at the other side, weird scribbles also marked the door.
With a detect magic spell, Faelan found out the door emanated strong abjuration magic. (sorry i said the wrong thing in the session)
With a light pull, Caladrel opened the door with ease and the two walking inside, immediately after entering they began feeling cold and their breathing began getting more difficult.
As they stood in the doorway, they where standing in a giant underground cave, although they were only about 15 feet down before, as they looked into the cave they could see a ruined city and something glowing pure white in the center.
Caladrel and Faelan began walking towards the center of town, while keeping an eye out for anything alive, after they passed a few buildings they spotted a humanoid creature crouched at the end of an alley, after making eye contact with the creature it began set off and disappeared into the alley.
Unsure of what the creature was, with the best guess being a ghoul, they decided to continue towards the center, as they walked they could feel their legs weakening as they spotted a black cloud flying over the city towards the door where they entered.
Determined to create the source of the light, they slogged their way to the center where they found a gazebo made of stone, symbols also filled the floor of the gazebo with the same unknown letters, in the middle was a font filled with a pure white liquid.
In an attempt to figure out what they found Faelan cast a detect magic spell, but without success as he couldn’t manifest any arcane spells inside since they entered the cave, Caladrel had the same problem using psychic magic.
As the monkey reached out for the liquid, the surface reacted violently to Ruyi’s hand and shot out of it’s container towards Ruyi, sending him flying into Faelan’s hands, then slowly receding back into the font.
Soon after they found what looked like a small shop, inside they found the remains of a cobbler and a ledger in undercommon, however all the dates where not in a date system known to them, and with Ruyi having trouble staying on Faelan’s shoulder, the two decided to head back to Fort Dummor.
When they returned, Faelan tried casting casting spell again, but to no avail, when the two went upstairs again, Akiros had gathered the remaining loot along with Arianah, how had left with The Stag Lord’s body towards Varti’s Trading Post.
Akiros informed them that a small hunched creature had come up from the stairwell, but before he could do anything about them a plume of smoke went past him and into the cave where the remaining four bandits where held.
When the smoke had entered the cell, Akiros said it had transformed into a grey skinned humanoid with leather wings, the creature had quickly snapped the necks of three of the bandits and pinned the last down, while Akiros was opening the door, the creature had bitten into the neck of the remaining bandit.
When Akiros managed to open the cell door the remaining bandit, who should be about 30 years of age, laid before them as a decrepit old man, and the creature was nowhere to be found.
Upon inspection of the wounds, the old bandit had marks on his neck where the creature had bitten him, however the creature hadn’t made any punctures into the bandit.
